It was just announced a few days ago that Paramount are moving forward with the highly anticipated sequel to the 1986 film, "Top Gun" is finaly happening. Tom Cruise says he wants to do it. Christopher McQuarrie has been hired to write the script, which will only feature Maverick in a cameo.
The studio want Tony Scott to return to direct it and they want Jerry Bruckheimer to produce it. Larry Ellisons son, David has raised $350 million dollars to finance four Paramount films. The first being, "Mission Impossible 4" and the other being the new untitled "Top Gun" sequel. AWESOME!
