Hellboy Director To Direct "The Haunted Mansion" Remake!

Guillermo Del Toro announced @ Comic-Con that he is getting ready to direct a reboot/remake of Disney's 2003 film, "The Haunted Mansion" that starred Eddie Murphy.
In this new version, Del Toro intends the film to be full-on scary, rather than the family-friendly kids comedy horror. The new story is said to revolve around the "Hatbox Ghost" (pictured below) who will also be re-introduced into the original ride. This is what Del Toro told the audience, "We are not returning Eddie Murphy's calls...and we are notmaking it a comedy, we are making it scary and fun, but the scary will be scary." Above is the teaser logo for the new film. Now, I loved the Eddie Murphy one back in 2003. So why remake/reboot it? He also intends to make it 3D, like that wasn't gonna happen in the first place.
Lets just hope this new verison of the 2003 Disney film is good and not shit. Just wish he'd hurry the fuck up and make "Hellboy III".
